Fay Harris spearheaded the development of a community garden on a vacant lot, laying the ground work for inviting neighborhood participation. Fay impressed the owner of a shop adjacent to the garden with her dedication. While the garden was waiting for its water permit, the shop owner allowed Fay access to shop’s water connection. He also offered support in any other way that he could, thus a partnership was born. Fay also educates neighbors regarding tenants rights, and was thrilled to work with Neighborhood Connections to expand her work beyond her neighborhood.
