Ebony Harris knew that the need for leaders in her community was great, so she decided to become one.
“My mom inspired me,” she said. “She taught me that if I wanted something for myself, I had to be a leader.”
Ebony became involved with the My Community My Commitment (MyCom) program, and attended their youth leadership training academy. After the leadership academy, Ebony completed an internship with the Cleveland Metropolitan Housing Authority.
“I like working together with others to figure out what we are going to do, to build up our neighborhood,” she said.
