Dawn Arrington saw a need and decided to fill it. She started the Food & Amenities Exchange, a gathering on her porch where people bring something others can use, like light bulbs, and take something else they need. She knocks on doors in her neighborhood to remind people about the exchange once per month.
“I’m gregarious by nature so involving others is crucial for any project that I take on,” she says. “I want to see my hometown and its citizens better connected.”
Dawn holds an MBA and is pursuing a PhD in English. Click here for a photo gallery of the Food & Amenities Exchange.
