Aseelah Shareef Allen is an optimist interested in facilitating change in the community. She teaches African dance and performs at the annual Juneteenth Concert and Conference hosted by Djapo Cultural Arts Institute, a grassroots group offering dance and drum classes for all levels of expertise.
“I am passionate about the arts, health and wellness and community engagement,” Aseelah said. “I believe the arts positively impact our quality of life enabling us to live more fully. I am passionate about engaging the community and the power of our collective energy in creating change.”
