Anjenette Whitted

Anjenette Whitted, Glenville

Anjenette seems to do it all for her community with the intention of providing basic needs and opportunities for youth and others to be engaged in community service. She and five youth brainstormed some positive activities they call The Helping Hands Ministry. They have: a Sunday Community Dinner once per month; a Summer Lunch Program sponsored by the Cleveland Food Bank; a cooking class for children; a mobile pantry on Saturdays; a program called Nutrition in a Jar that teaches kids canning skills; and a food distribution program the first Saturday of each month.
