|We are seeking a part-time Warehouse/Delivery Worker to prepare boxes of books for distribution and pick-up on a weekly and monthly basis, to update our inventory and order systems, to contact our partner agencies to coordinate pick-ups, to do occasional deliveries of books to partner organizations and to manage inventory. This individual will also handle a variety of jobs in our warehouse, including occasional cleaning, removal of trash and recycling, creating labels for outbound orders, and other tasks as assigned.|
This is an hourly position working approximately 18-20 hours each week. Work schedule is typically Tuesday – Thursday, although some flexibility for additional hours may occasionally be required.
Successful candidates will have an energetic and positive attitude, a solid understanding of the importance of our mission, and a commitment to excellence. In addition, we seek candidates who are high school graduates with operations/systems/warehouse experience as well as the ability to learn quickly and adapt to the changing environment of a young and growing organization. This position will interface with our partner agencies, so solid oral communication skills are required. Computer proficiency is a must, along with the ability to lift and move boxes of books weighing approximately 50 lbs. Current driver license and clean driving record required; vehicle preferred. Ability to drive tow motor a plus.
