The Credo Music Faculty concerts comes in the middle of the Credo Music festival, a 3-week festival that provides intensive musical training for 80 students, ages 13-23, focused on chamber music performance and community service. Students complete a rigorous schedule with 15 hours of musical coaching (individual and ensemble) each week and four hours of individual practice each day. The faculty for Credo Summer Music Festival is drawn from top conservatories and orchestras nationwide.
The students present two free weekly performances at Oberlin Conservatory. This intense work is balanced each week with a focused day of serving others, consisting of a blend of outreach concerts and physical labor. Credo students give just over 1,000 total volunteer hours each summer.
