Greater University Circle Community Health Initiative

Some Neighbor Up members are working with healthcare professionals to stop infant mortality and lead poisoning in Greater University Circle neighborhoods. They are part of the Greater University Circle Community Health Initiative (GUCCHI).

Greater University Circle neighborhoods have infant mortality rates among African-American babies that rival those of Third World countries. And lead paint in old homes can cause learning disabilities and other issues in children.

I am exploring the idea of creating my own cleveland based out patient community based recreation therapy clinic. I will like to develop network with health care professionals and medical doctor to obtain patient referrals. And acquire 501c-3 grant funding for patients who are not insurance qualified.
