Neighbor Up members are working with healthcare professionals to stop infant mortality and lead poisoning in Greater University Circle neighborhoods. They are part of the Greater University Circle Community Health Initiative (GUCCHI).
Greater University Circle neighborhoods have infant mortality rates among African-American babies that rival those of Third World countries. And lead paint in old homes can cause learning disabilities and other issues in children.
