First legal street painting project in Cleveland kicks off this week supported by Neighborhood Connections

This week residents in the Clark-Fulton neighborhood will complete the first legal street painting project in the city of Cleveland. The name of the project is City Repair @ Newark Creek Court. Residents will be painting the alley from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, September 23 to Sunday, September 25. Newark Court is located between West 38th and West 41st streets off of Fulton Road.

Greater University Circle Community Health Initiative

Some Neighbor Up members are working with healthcare professionals to stop infant mortality and lead poisoning in Greater University Circle neighborhoods. They are part of the Greater University Circle Community Health Initiative (GUCCHI). Greater University Circle neighborhoods have infant mortality rates among African-American babies that rival those of Third World countries. We’re proud to announce funding for 120 resident-led projects

Our Grant Making Committee of 23 residents from Cleveland and East Cleveland has approved $288,672 in grants to support 120 different projects in Cleveland and East Cleveland. Cuyahoga Arts & Culture, the county’s public funder for arts and culture, will co-fund 44 of the resident-led arts and culture projects.
